Dr. Hagedorn grew up in Colorado Springs and received his BA at Colorado
College. He then went on to Rush Medical College in Chicago where he was
inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. He completed
both ophthalmology residency and vitreo-retinal fellowship at Yale
University in New Haven, Connecticut. While at Yale, Dr. Hagedorn
received the Marvin Sears Award for Clinical Excellence. Dr. Hagedorn
has special interest and training in Age-related Macular Degeneration
(AMD). Dr. Hagedorn is currently the primary investigator in clinical
trials examining new medicines for AMD and diabetic retinopathy and he
has been a co-investigator in clinical trials for many new medicines
including Macugenİ, Lucentisİ, and Retaaneİ.
