Dr Joondeph is a native of Northern New Jersey. He completed his training as a retinal surgeon in 1990. Since then he has worked both in private practice and full time academics. He has been in Denver since 2003, after returning from an academic position in New Zealand. Dr Joondeph has over 50 publications and is currently an investigator in over 10 clinical trials, looking at new and innovative treatments for a variety of retinal diseases. He works at all three Colorado Retina Associates offices and attends a monthly outreach clinic in Goodland Kansas. Dr Joondeph is also a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. He is also a part time student at the University of Denver, pursuing a Masters Degree in Healthcare Leadership.
 

Dr Joondeph is married with three teenage children. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include skiing, golf and fitness.
